Beata Bialy serves as Senior Program Coordinator with the United States Energy Association (USEA). In this capacity, she coordinates with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and other international donors, stakeholders and organizations to promote regional cooperation in natural gas and electricity transmission system planning in Europe and Eurasia, including: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Turkey as well as East Africa, including: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi. 

Fluent in Polish, she obtained her Master’s degree from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.  Prior to joining USEA, Beata worked in cyber security business development with Knowledge Consulting Group.

"The most significant US energy policy update in a decade, the Energy Policy Modernization Act 2016, will be introduced into the new Congress in January 2017. With provisions for accelerated permitting for oil and gas drilling, construction of export LNG terminals, as well as energy efficiency standards and grid-integration of renewables, the outlook for US energy security is bright, according to Barry Worthington, Executive Director of the US Energy Association (USEA). He predicts that business, not policy, will be the major driver of decarbonisation."

In January, Maria Korsnick, the Nuclear Energy Institute’s chief operating officer will become its president and CEO. NEI is a member of USEA and represents the commercial nuclear industry across 17 countries.

Korsnick has worked for NEI since May 2015. Before that, she worked for Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, a joint project between Exelon and Electricite de France.

NEI’s current leader, Marvin Fertel, plans to retire at the end of the year.
