Prior to being a freelancer, she held various roles in the public service in Tonga, as CEO and Secretary for the Public Service Commission, and later CEO for the Nauru Utilities Corporation.

Her career transitioned from national roles to one of regional energy development engagement as Pacific Coordinator for the IRENA followed by consultancy positions on regional development projects funded by Pacific Islands development partners such as the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility (PRIF), European Union (EU), and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). She graduated with a master’s degree in business administration from Middlesex University, London.
