USEA chief says McIntyre was kind, sharp and grounded

Washington, D.C.—The U.S. Energy Association mourns the death of Kevin McIntyre, former chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission who passed away Wednesday.

In a statement, USEA Executive Director Barry Worthington said:

"We are saddened by the loss of Former FERC Chairman Kevin McIntyre, and we send our deepest condolences to his family and colleagues.

Mary-Rose de Valladares of M.R.S. Enterprises is the longtime General Manager of the IEA Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP), global hub for cooperation and innovation in hydrogen R,D&D. She started in the energy business by building wind/PV systems for irrigation/off-grid applications and passive solar homes in the American southwest. Mary Rose is proficient in four languages. She earned an MBA from Georgetown University in international business, an MA in an urban planning field, and a Diplôme from the University of Paris at the Sorbonne.

Before joining the U.S. Department of Energy, Daniel served as the Institute for Energy Research’s Vice President for Policy, overseeing its energy and climate policy work at the state and federal level.

He previously served as the director of the Natural Resources Task Force of the American Legislative Exchange Council, was a research fellow at the Mercatus Center and worked as professional staff on the Committee on Resources of the U.S. House of Representatives.

He is a graduate of Utah State University and George Mason University School of Law.
