Agnieszka Ason is a lawyer and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES). Agnieszka has expertise and a decade of experience in LNG pricing disputes in Europe and Asia. She lectures in international dispute resolution and energy law at the London School of Economics, Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Queen Mary University of London. Her current research is focused on Asian LNG and includes OIES papers on ‘Price reviews and arbitrations in Asian LNG markets’ (2019) and ‘Scenarios for Asian long-term LNG contracts before and after COVID-19’ (2020). Agnieszka is also the editor of the OGEL Special Issue on Changing LNG Markets and Contracts (2020).

The global expansion of LNG trading has triggered fundamental changes to contractual arrangements in the LNG industry. The recent proliferation of short-term deals, in particular, has challenged the predominance of traditional long-term contracts. Despite an increasing relevance of short-term alternatives, +10-year LNG Sale and Purchase Agreements (LNG SPAs) will likely remain the key contractual mechanism for international LNG sales in the 2020s.

Tim Reinhardt is currently at the Department of Energy (DOE) serving as the Director of the Division of Supply and Delivery in the Office of Oil and Natural Gas within Fossil Energy (FE). FE's Office of Oil & Natural Gas supports research and policy options to ensure domestic and global supplies of oil and natural gas. Tim previously worked within DOE in the Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) as the Program Manager for the Systems Analysis and Low-Temperature (SALT) Programs; and also served as the International lead. 

Tim received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.  He served in the United States Navy for nine years as an officer and Naval Aviator, and holds Master’s Degrees from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas at Austin.

Joseph Micheletti, is the Chief Operating Officer and joined Westmoreland in 1998 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility including, most recently, executive vice president and chief technical officer. During his nearly 20 years with Westmoreland, Micheletti has also served as senior vice president of Coal Operations and has led the company’s production, maintenance, processing, and engineering functions. Micheletti also proudly serves as a director of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute.

Shane Seibel is the Executive Director of the Southern Ute Growth Fund, the business arm of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe located in Ignacio Colorado. Shane oversees on and off-reservation investments including real estate, private equity, energy exploration, production, and midstream companies. These business units have a combined market value in excess of $3.3 billion.

Shane also serves as Chairman of the Growth Fund Management Committee which advises Tribal Council on all its enterprise business investments.

Previously Shane was President of ONE Enterprises LLC which he owned and operated. Before working for himself, Shane worked for the Growth Fund in numerous leadership positions, completing many projects on and off the reservation, including restoration of plugged and abandoned well sites, residential development projects and stream restoration. Shane has also coached local high school teams.

Shane earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Management from Fort Lewis College and is currently completing a Master’s of Science in Leadership and Organizations with a minor in Strategic Innovation and Change from the University of Denver.

Shane is a Southern Ute Tribal Member and resides in Ignacio, CO with his wife Melanie. Shane and Melanie have six children and 10 grandchildren. He is a lifelong learner, farmer/rancher, coach, Sundancer and entrepreneur.
