SolidSky, a DOE spinout company, is commercializing a platform to turn CO2 into a value driver for fundamental commodity chemicals. Using a unique catalyst, the CO2 is used as an oxidant in the cracking reaction of ethane and propane into ethylene and propylene, while controllably coproducing syngas.
