This is the decisive decade for action against climate change. USAID’s South Asia Regional Energy Hub and the South Asia Group for Energy co-hosted an Asia Clean Energy side session focussed on pathways for decarbonization in South Asia. The session highlighted challenges and opportunities for critical sectors including power, industry, building, and transportation. The discussion explored questions at the intersection of policy, research, implementation, communication and tactics to scale clean energy solutions with global cooperation. USAID hopes that side event was intended to enable bolder, faster, and deeper decarbonization to accelerate a clean energy transition and limit global warming.
