USEA 100th Anniversary Celebration
One hundred years ago, USEA was established to carry out the global mission of ensuring access to reliable and affordable energy in the US and to all countries and citizens of the world. We will commemorate our 100th anniversary at a semi-formal celebratory reception and dinner on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Palm Court and State Room Ballrooms of the historic Mayflower Hotel at 1127 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington DC. We hope you will plan to attend.
At this event, we will recognize the service of three individuals who have demonstrated dedication and commitment to USEA. For his many years of participation on our board and his dedication to the energy industry, Pulitzer prize winning author Dr. Daniel Yergin will receive our Centennial Lifetime Achievement Award. The Honorable Vicky Bailey will receive our Centennial Executive Service Award for her years of board service and her vision and leadership for steering USEA over the past decade. And to honor the dedication and selfless service of the creator of today’s USEA, we will honor Barry Worthington posthumously by recognizing his contributions through the Centennial Visionary Legacy Award. In addition to these three prestigious awards, the evening will feature presentations of additional honors to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the success of USEA over the years.
