Renee Hancher
Ms. Hancher is the USTR lead on Good Regulatory Practices (GRP) and covers GRP and regulatory cooperation matters in bilateral and regional trade negotiations, the WTO, the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Before joining USTR, Ms. Hancher worked on standards, conformity assessment, technical barriers to trade and GRP issues at the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration from 2005 to 2019. Prior to that, she spent 10 years directing the international trade work at the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute – an industry trade association. Ms. Hancher holds a B.A. in International Studies from the American University and an M.A. in International Economics from Columbia University.
