Christopher Leigh is currently the Director and Chief of Information Security Officer at Eversource Energy.  Christopher has over 20 years of domestic and global experience in leading cyber-security teams.  In the current role, he is responsible for all aspects of information security including Threat and Risk Management, Policy and Compliance, architecture, and Incident Response.  Christopher has held similar roles at Consolidated Edison, United Technologies Corporation.

Christopher’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Management, minoring in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s College.  He also has a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master’s degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University.  Christopher is a Certified Privacy Professional and a Certified Risk and Information Systems Control professional. 

Christopher is an adjunct professor at Central Connecticut State University and on the Board of Directors for Community Solutions, Incorporated.  He was also a member of the United States Navy Reserves for 14 years.

Senior Grid Strategist

Andy Bochman is the Senior Grid Strategist for Idaho National Laboratory’s National and Homeland Security directorate. In this role, Mr. Bochman provides strategic guidance on topics at the intersection of grid security and resilience to N&HS leadership as well as senior U.S. and international government and industry leaders.

A frequent speaker, writer, trainer and standards developer, Mr. Bochman has provided analysis on electric grid and energy sector infrastructure security actions, standards, and gaps to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Reliability Corporation, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NERC), National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council, and state utility commissions. Teaming with DOE, NARUC, and other US and international partners, Andy has cyber-trained grid operators and regulators in half a dozen Central and Eastern European countries and more than half of the US states.

Andy has testified before the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on energy infrastructure cybersecurity issues and before FERC on the security readiness of smart grid cybersecurity standards. He has also held recurring conversations on grid security matters with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) and the National Security Council (NSC).

His papers and articles include “Plotting a More Confident Course: Rethinking Oversight of the Electric Sector and Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity” (The Heritage Foundation), “The National Security Case for Simplicity in Energy Infrastructure” (CSIS), “IoT, Automation, Autonomy and Megacities in 2025: A Dark Preview” (CSIS), "The Missing Chief Security Officer" (CXO) and "The End of Cybersecurity" (HBR), and “Supply Chain in the Software Era” (Atlantic Council).

Mr. Bochman is a cybersecurity subject matter expert listed with the U.S. State Department Speakers Bureau. Prior to joining INL, he was the Global Energy & Utilities Security Lead at IBM and a Senior Advisor at the Chertoff Group in Washington, DC.

In 2019 and 2020 he is serving on the DHS critical infrastructure protection subcommittee established to help the city of Milwaukee upgrade its cyber defenses ahead of hosting the Democratic National Convention in July 2020.

Mr. Bochman received a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master of arts degree from the Harvard University Extension School.

Hydrogen is the lightest, most abundant element on Earth. It’s rocket fuel.

And environmentalists want it to replace gasoline in the transportation sector, the largest U.S. emitter of greenhouse gases blamed for climate change.

New hydrogen and renewable gas technologies are proven to contribute to greenhouse gas reductions. Quickly scaling these technologies, however, will require new policies across government to drive near-term investment and accelerate deployment in the coming decade.

Miles Keogh is the Executive Director of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA), an association of 156 state and local air pollution control agencies.  He previously started and directed the Research Lab at the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), where he advised State Utility Commissions on energy, environmental, and security issues for over a decade.  He is the author of widely-used primers on Cybersecurity, Resilience, and Risk Management, and has taught and advised leaders in the electric sector across North America and Europe on these issues.  He continues to work on cybersecurity through a number of advisory boards related to the power system.  Prior to joining NARUC in 2005, Miles worked in the wind power industry and sited power infrastructure for the Massachusetts Public Utility Commission.  Miles also spent five years as an ambulance driver and medic in Washington DC.  He received a Bachelors in International Relations from Georgetown University and a Masters in Environmental Management from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Grid Modernization Policy Expert

Michael Jung is a recognized authority on grid modernization policy. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Policy, Government, and Regulatory Affairs at Varentec, a pioneer in grid-edge voltage control solutions. Previously, he served as Policy Director at smart grid infrastructure leader Silver Spring Networks.

He has chaired an energy task force for Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber and served as a policy advisor to the campaign and administration of Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. Michael began his career managing environmental and climate change policy at American Electric Power, where he also served as founding chief of staff to the President/COO of the company’s flagship operating company, AEP Ohio.

Michael is a U.S. Fulbright Fellow, Tae Kwon Do black belt, former competitive ballroom dancer, professional ski instructor, ping pong entrepreneur, active tennis player, and Eagle Scout. He is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, Yale College, and the Harvard Kennedy School. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and their three children.
