Nicole is a thermal mechanical engineer experienced in the field of electricity generation.

She has a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and a masters degree in renewable energy from college of science and Technology/University of Rwanda.

She is passionate to learn new technologies, inspire Rwandan girls to be involved in science and engineering studies, and improve gender inclusiveness, and is dedicated to bringing gender balance in the energy sector, a male dominated sector in her country.

She is the president and a founding member of POWERHer, a network of women in the Rwandan energy sector, and a WIRE steering committee member.

Through funding provided to the U.S. Energy Association’s (USEA) cooperative agreement with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), USEA is organizing a training program on electricity trading tailored to South Asia. The training is intended to provide the participants with institutional and human capacity building in the design, management and operation of a power trading entity.

The training will be conducted as part of USAID’s South Asia Regional Initiative for Energy Integration (SARI/EI) program.
