USEA Congratulates Vitalii Zaichenko on Ukrenergo CEO Appointment
Washington, DC—The United States Energy Association (USEA) extends its sincerest congratulations to Vitalii Zaichenko on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Ukrenergo, Ukraine's national electricity transmission system operator, exclusively managing the country's high-voltage power lines.
“The entire USEA team would like to extend its sincerest congratulations to Vitalii Zaichenko on this incredible achievement,” said USEA President & CEO Mark Menezes. “Vitalii has been a longtime partner of USEA and has worked with our team since 2004 on many critical projects, and we know he will continue to excel as he assumes this new leadership role at Ukrenergo.”
Vitalii Zaichenko served as Chief Dispatcher and was also a Member of the Board prior to his appointment as CEO. During his tenure, Zaichenko has been instrumental in the management of Ukraine’s power grid throughout the attacks on the nation's civilian infrastructure by Russia. In his new role as CEO, he will assume responsibility for the electricity sector, including leading energy diplomacy and reconstruction efforts for Ukraine's power grid. The seven-member Ukrenergo Supervisory Board unanimously supported Zaichenko’s candidacy, and he will assume the role of CEO on July 1.
