Pullman, Washington—One of the country’s leading manufacturers of power systems technology has won the U.S. Energy Association Project of the Year award for bringing safe, reliable electricity to two villages in Brcko, a major municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

USEA congratulates new USAID Administrator Green and lauds agency reform

Washington, D.C. -  On Thursday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Mark Andrew Green as the new Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development.

As a strong partner of USAID for the past 25 years--expanding energy infrastructure and energy programs in developing countries--USEA is pleased with President Trump’s decision to have Mark Andrew Green at the helm of such a significant agency at such a critical juncture.

USEA applauds President Trump’s plan to renegotiate a global climate deal

Washington, DC— On Thursday, President Trump announced that his administration would renegotiate U.S. obligations under the Paris Agreement.
In a statement, USEA Executive Director, Barry Worthington, said:

USEA to launch historic regional natural gas pipeline planning project in Southeast Europe

May 16th, 2017

Zagreb, Croatia— The U.S. Energy Association, through a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supported project, has structured a landmark agreement among 7 transmission system operators (TSOs) in 7 countries in Southeast Europe to work together on planning, expanding and potentially interconnecting natural gas pipeline infrastructure.

The countries will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on May 16 in Zagreb under which they agree to develop network planning models, share pipeline network data, equipment information and other technical details.
