USEA congratulates new head of USAID’s Europe and Eurasia Bureau
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Friday February 2, Brock D. Bierman will be sworn in as Assistant Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development for its Europe and Eurasia Bureau.
U.S. Energy Association Executive Director, Barry Worthington, congratulates Bierman, and in a statement said,
“Brock D. Bierman is a great choice to lead USAID’s Europe and Eurasia Bureau. I believe his extensive career in politics and international development positions him perfectly to advance the goals and work of the Bureau.
“USEA has worked with USAID for more than 25 years, and we’ve seen so many stellar leaders. Brock Bierman stands among them. It’s a significant time for infrastructure expansion in the region. Leading this effort requires his level of understanding and expertise.
“Assistant Administrator Bierman is an American of Moldovan descent. He understands the Europe and Eurasia region from his professional experience, but he also has a unique personal perspective.
“He is acutely aware of cultural sensitivities and the region’s overall development.
“We applaud President Trump, USAID Administrator Green, and the Senate for nominating, supporting and confirming Brock Bierman for this role.
“We offer ourselves as a resource to Assistant Administrator Bierman and look forward to a long prosperous partnership.”
