Investing in the West African Energy Sector: Exploring Current Projects Within the Region and Investment Opportunities

The region of West Africa is home to diverse sources of energy, including hydropower and wind power, and over 350 million residents who depend upon a consistent energy supply for a growing population. Fortunately, a strategic business plan has been developed by the West African Power Pool (WAPP) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA) to effectively address these needs and ensure that the investment program is effective and relevant.

You are cordially invited to join WAPP and ERERA representatives as they discuss specific generation and transmission projects currently underway and in the pipeline for development within the region. Please join us in a discussion regarding investment opportunities in various hydropower and wind power projects, as well as a transmission line and interconnection project.

We will be joined by the Chairman of ERERA and the General Directors of WAPP for a detailed presentation on the 14 member countries of ECOWAS and the opportunities for private investment to support and advance the economic and electrical goal of a thriving and growing region.
