Biography: 

Ipshita Nandi Banerjee has 17 years of experience in strategic communications and public affairs. She is specialized in organizational and development sector communications, reputation management, leadership advisory and currently transitioning to enhanced gender-sector responsibilities.  She is working full time with USEA for the past three years as communications and gender lead implementing the ongoing projects the Energy Utility Partnership Program (EUPP), Advancing Modern Power through Utility Partnerships (AmpUp) funded by USAID, and the Women Energy Leaders, funded by U.S. Department of State. In the past Ipshita has worked as Media Specialist and grants officer, for the U.S. Department of State’s Consulate in Kolkata Public Affairs Section. Ipshita has received five U.S. Department of State meritorious honor awards. She was a journalist early career and has over 150 by-lined news copies to her credit.

Ipshita holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Media Management from the School of Convergence New Delhi, a Bachelor’s in English Honors from St. Xavier's College Kolkata, and certification in Public Policy from Takshashila Institute, Bangalore, India.
