USEA Highlights Energy Sector Partnership and Grid Modernization in Montenegro

Washington, D.C. – USEA President & CEO Mark Menezes today issued a statement highlighting the United States Energy Association’s long-standing technical partnership with Montenegro’s energy sector on the occasion of their Independence Day. “USEA has worked alongside Montenegrin energy institutions to strengthen energy security, integrate regional markets, and build a resilient power sector,” Menezes said.

To help Montenegro capitalize on its abundant solar resources, USEA launched a project to assess the distribution network’s capacity to integrate additional rooftop solar generation and to identify targeted upgrades that would enable greater solar deployment.

"Energy security and regional integration are fundamental to Montenegro’s economic stability," added Will Polen, Senior Director at USEA, affirming the association's steadfast commitment to the Western Balkans.
