Biography: 

Gurpreet Chugh is the Managing Director for ICF in India and manages ICF's business operations in the country. He has close to 20 years of global professional experience in the energy sector and is an industry-leading expert in oil & gas, power, and renewable energy sectors. Much of Gurpreet’s experience is in consulting, industry, and investments.

Gurpreet has demonstrated capabilities in program management, energy planning and modelling, and strategic business planning and policy advocacy. He has rich experience in bringing together and working with a wide range of state and central-level stakeholders for consensus building and consultation.

Gurpreet has been deeply associated with the international gas and LNG sector since 2001. He has successfully led consulting engagements for international energy majors and governments on global gas and LNG market studies across many geographies, supported utilities investment in the gas storage business in Northwest Europe, secured financing for multimillion-dollar upstream exploration & production acquisitions in West Africa and managed operation of upstream oil and gas blocks covering seismic studies and drilling. He has direct experience working in India, the SAARC countries, UK, West Africa, Indonesia, Brunei, the Netherlands, and Russia.

Gurpreet has an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India, and a B.Eng. in Instrumentation and Control, University of Delhi, India. He is a CFA® Charter holder from CFA Institute, Virginia, USA, and a member of the Indian Association of Investment Professionals.
