Irene Suarez serves as a Senior Program Coordinator with the United States Energy Association (USEA). She works with the Just and Secure Energy Transition Program (JSET) to promote regional cooperation in natural gas and electricity transmission system planning in Europe and Eurasia. Her role supports JSET initiatives by preparing its weekly newsletter content and written materials, coordinating workshops, and designing visual materials.

Irene earned a MA in Strategic Communication and a BA in Public Relations and Strategic Communication from American University’s School of Communication. Prior to joining USEA, Irene interned at the Humane Society of the United States and worked on farm animal protection campaigns that took focus on environmental issues.
