Katheryn B. “Kathy” Curtis is senior vice president– Generation, Dominion Energy Virginia. 

Her team oversees the operation of Dominion Energy Virginia’s power generating fleet of gas, hydro, solar, biomass, coal and oil-fueled power stations in Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia. 

Curtis joined the company in 1981 and has held numerous leadership positions in the corporate support departments of Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, and New Asset Acquisition & Integration. Her longest tenure has been in Power Generation, where she held leadership responsibilities for several power stations and served as vice president–Merchant Operations before assuming her current post in January 2014. 

She serves on the executive committee of the board of trustees of the Virginia Holocaust Museum in Richmond and on the executive committee of the board of directors of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. She also is a board member of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies and serves on its Power Generation Committee. 

Curtis earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Virginia and her executive MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Fengrong Li, CFA, is a Managing Director in the Economic and Financial Consulting practice at FTI Consulting. She has spent over 20 years in the energy sector and in commodity trading, holding senior positions with global energy and trading companies. She specializes in market advisory, strategy development, utility resource planning, due diligence, financial modeling, investment analysis and asset valuation across the energy value chain, including power, gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Ms. Li is familiar with various nodal and zonal power market dispatch models and has performed power market assessments throughout North America. For utility planning, she is experienced with the integration of a wide range of supply-side solutions, as well as demand-side resources, including energy efficiency, demand response and distributed energy resources. 

Ms. Li's energy experience encompasses a wide range of projects, such as upstream gas field development, LNG terminals, midstream infrastructure, natural gas liquids, wholesale power markets, renewables, utility-scale battery storage and microgrids. She has advised asset developers, utilities, independent power producers, oil and gas majors, infrastructure funds and financial institutions on resource economics, market fundamentals, business planning, project finance, tax credit flip structures and capital market transactions.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Li was a director at the Digital Grid Energy Business Advisory Division at Siemens, where she led teams on complex energy market modeling and advisory engagements with large utilities and investors. Prior to Siemens, she was chief of the Merchandise Division at Mitsui Co., Ltd., where she successfully developed a long-term international commodity business between Asia, Europe and America, as well as facilitated direct investments in China.

Ms. Li is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She graduated cum laude from Notre Dame University, with an M.B.A. in Finance and Investment. She has also received the university's Provost Award.
