CCUS Demystified: Louisiana Leading the Way

Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) has been in use for decades, but today the industry is seeing rapid growth with nearly 600 projects in various stages of operation and development globally. With this growth, USEA is undertaking a four-part educational series on the basics of CCUS.

Just in time for Mardi Gras season, Part 4 turns to Louisiana, a state at the forefront of CCUS in the United States. Coinciding with Governor Landry’s recently released Whole-of-Louisiana Energy Strategy, this session will highlight why Louisiana’s geology makes it a desirable location for CCUS in support of expanding Louisiana’s industrial base, preserving and growing oil and gas jobs, maintaining global competitiveness, and unleashing strategic and innovative energy solutions. Moderated by USEA’s President and CEO, Mark Menezes, former Deputy Secretary of Energy and a native Louisianian himself, expect an engaging discussion to be had!
