Stephen Swiber was appointed Deputy Secretary of Conservation and Energy by Governor Jeff Landry in August of 2025. He previously served as Chief Resilience Officer for the state of Louisiana. Prior to entering government service, he spent 8 years as an executive in marine construction in the Gulf of America. He holds a BA in Political Economy and a Masters of Management in Energy, both from Tulane University.
