Indian Energy Minerals Forum 2022 Webinar Series 3, Webinar #4: Tribal Hydrogen Hub

This webinar’s discussion will highlight regional hydrogen hubs and supporting tribal self determination to replace tribal industries impacted by climate change. The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) is accelerating breakthrough technologies that support abundant, affordable, and reliable clean energy solutions to address the climate crisis and rapidly reach the Biden–Harris Administration's net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2050.

Hydrogen has tremendous potential as a clean energy source and continues to support the DOE and private industry’s goal  to lower the delivery cost by 80%.  Part of the lowering the delivery cost is opening new market demand and positioning America to compete in the global clean energy markets by developing regional clean hydrogen hubs that demonstrate the production, processing, delivery, storage, and end-use of clean hydrogen.  Clean hydrogen technologies like electrolyzers, fuel cells, and turbines can decarbonize many of our industrial sectors.  Regional clean hydrogen hubs locations are being assessed to support the production carbon free electricity by 2035.  This assessment will consider the meaningful engagement by the H2Hub teams that combine local and tribal communities.
