Carlos Mario is currently a specialist in VRE integration at XM S.A, Colombian power system operator. He has 14 years of experience in the power and energy industry. Mr. Correa is an Electrical Engineer from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín Colombia. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in power systems in Comillas Pontifical University, Spain. He also has a Masters Degree in Power Systems from Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid Spain; and a Masters Degree in Systems from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Carlos' areas of interest and knowledge are: planning and operation of power and gas systems, integration of energy systems and VER, optimization and mathematical modeling.
