The Virtual CCUS Roadshow, South and SW Regional Issues and Opportunities

Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technology is increasingly recognized as essential to sustaining an environmentally responsible energy economy, preserving jobs and enabling economic development across the United States.  This second in a series of regionally focused workshops will discuss the:

  • potential for CCUS projects in the South and Southwest;
  • impact of low oil prices on CCUS projects dependent on CO2 for enhanced oil recovery;
  • federal, state and local incentives to support commercial CCUS projects; and
  • how CCUS technology can be harnessed to create emissions free hydrogen, reduce plastic waste, and impact corporate social responsibility.
