Frederic Clerc
Frederic Clerc is the Director of the Carbon to Value Program at Urban Future Lab / ACRE at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
Frederic brings several years of experience in strategy, innovation and cleantech commercialization. He worked with multinational corporations and governments to identify and evaluate low-carbon business models and technology opportunities, from pilot to commercial scale across various industries including forest-products, agriculture, chemicals and oil and gas in Canada, US, Brazil and Europe. He collaborated with hundreds of technology developers and startups developing innovative processes to convert renewable and waste carbon into fuels, chemicals and materials. Being passionate about climate change, Frederic also co-founded a non-profit called Climatable, which, as Canada's national lead, hosted ClimateLaunchpad, the world's largest green business idea competition. Frederic holds graduate degrees in engineering with a focus on energy and sustainable development.
