Mark Lerdal
Mark D. Lerdal serves as the President of Hydrogen Energy California, a 400MW project that will produce low-carbon electricity to help meet the growing demand in Southern California and contribute to meeting California’s increasing power demand while minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of MP2 Capital, LLC. Mr. Lerdal serves as an Executive at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Kenetech Corporation from April 1996 to 2001. He served as Vice President and General Counsel of Kenetech Corp. from April 1992 to March 1996. Mr. Lerdal served as the President of KC Holdings Inc., since 2001. He was an Investment Professional at KKR Financial Holdings LLC. ... He has more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry as a developer, executive, investor, and attorney. He began his career as an attorney at the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. He served as Chairman of Kenetech Corporation since August 1999. He has been a Director of MDC Acquisition Partners Inc. since 2001. He served as Director of Kenetech Corporation since March 1996. Mr. Lerdal holds a J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law and graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics.
