Marc Reitter
Marc Reitter is president and chief operating officer of AEP Ohio.
He is responsible for all aspects of electric service for AEP Ohio's 1.5 million customers. He leads more than 1,500 employees with a focus on providing electric service, building a smarter energy infrastructure and delivering new technologies and custom energy solutions to customers.
Since joining AEP in 2002, Reitter has held leadership positions in AEP's Finance organization, Strategic Initiatives group, and in Utility Group Business Services, assisting in business development opportunities. Most recently he was vice president, Regulatory and Finance for AEP Ohio, a position he assumed in May 2016.
Reitter earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Arizona State University and a master's of business administration from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. An Ohio native, Reitter serves as board chair for Goodwill Columbus and also serves on the boards of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, One Columbus, Smart Columbus, Ohio Chamber of Commerce and Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship.
