Hunt Energy Horizons

Clay Sell is president of Hunt Energy Horizons, the renewable energy subsidiary of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., a Dallas-based energy, real estate, and investment corporation controlled by Ray L. Hunt. Hunt Energy Horizons develops projects from early stage through construction and into operation and is committed to a long-term operational presence in its chosen markets. Today, Hunt Energy Horizons is developing hydropower, solar and wind generating stations in Chile and Costa Rica.

Sell joined Hunt from the U.S. Department of Energy where he served from 2005 to 2008 as Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Energy. From 2003 to 2005 Sell worked in the White House as a Special Assistant to President George W. Bush, serving on the staff of the National Economic Council and in the Office of Legislative Affairs, where he coordinated the development and implementation of the administration's energy policy. Sell also previously held senior staff positions with the Committee on Appropriations in the United States Senate and with U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry of Texas.

Sell is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and Texas Tech University. He and his family reside in Dallas, Texas. He also serves on the board of Fritz Industries, a company specializing in applied chemistry and manufacturing of components largely for the oil & gas industry.
