Dr. Haagsma is the assistant director of the Michigan Geological Survey, director of the Michigan Geological Repository for Research and Education, and Co-director of the Center of Excellence of Natural Resources, Materials, and Engineering (NATUREM) at Western Michigan University. She has over 12 years’ experience in leading research projects in carbon sequestration, risk assessments, modeling, energy and energy storage, and outreach and engagement.
