José Benítez is the Director for the Systems, Economic and Environmental Analysis Division within the Office of Clean Coal and Carbon Management. He specializes in developing new concepts and models to study the behavior of energy markets and the impacts of energy policy. Mr. Benítez has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Juris Doctor, with a concentration on Energy and Environmental Law, from Duquesne University. He is also a licensed Attorney and Professional Engineer.
