Biography: 

Natalia Fominykh serves as a Deputy Program Director with USEA and reports to the Senior Director. Using her over fourteen years of experience implementing the USAID’s international energy and utility projects related to transmission system planning and optimization, market transformation, regulatory reform, clean energy integration, technology transfer, and investment promotion in energy technology and energy markets, she is planning new projects, identifying major stakeholders, developing a network able to make a difference in project implementation, and managing these projects. 

From 2019-2022 Natalia assisted the Senior Director to provide modelling support to the ENTSO-E project group responsible for evaluating the feasibility of synchronously connecting the Ukrainian and Moldovan networks to the ENTSO-E network; and under the Moldova Energy Transition Activity to support Moldova’s energy security by reducing its dependence on Russian gas and electricity. 

Natalia holds a Master of Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Moscow State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the Moscow State University of Education.
