Stephen Comstock, Vice President for Corporate Policy for the American Petroleum Institute (API), presents at USEA's 2nd Annual Advanced Energy Technology Forum.
Stephen's responsibilities cover coordination and managing cross segment policy issues such as climate, tax, trade, operational security and emergency response issues. Stephen has been with API for over 16 years in a number of roles. Prior to API, Stephen was a tax attorney with ExxonMobil in their Tax Department and provided planning advice for various projects in their Upstream, Downstream and Chemical operations.
He is currently an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law School and was formerly chair of the Energy and Environmental Taxes Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section. He received a BA from the University of Texas and a JD from George Washington University.
