Irene Suárez is a Senior Program Coordinator at the U.S. Energy Association (USEA), where she promotes regional energy cooperation and market integration across Europe and Eurasia. She plays a key role in advancing USEA’s regional market coupling initiatives by organizing high-level events, managing contractors, coordinating project logistics, and ensuring the timely and effective implementation of projects. She also spearheads program communications, including the Southeast Europe Energy News newsletter and regular website updates, while cultivating strong relationships with international stakeholders and partners.

She holds a master's degree in strategic communication and a bachelor's degree in public relations and strategic communication from American University's School of Communication. Before joining USEA, Irene interned at the Humane Society of the United States, contributing to farm animal protection campaigns focused on environmental sustainability.

Michelle Gaston Littlefield was a Program Coordinator at the United States Energy Association (USEA), with their Program in Promoting Domestic and International Consensus on Fossil Energy Technologies. Her main focus was promoting clean technologies for fossil fuels by reducing carbon emissions.

Michelle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington and has training in GIS and environmental sustainability. Prior to joining USEA, she worked as an environmental consultant in policy and procedures, as well as in environmental education.
