USEA Acting Executive Director Sheila Hollis Joins Board of National Energy Foundation

Washington, D.C. – USEA Acting Executive Director Sheila Hollis has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Energy Foundation.

The National Energy Foundation (NEF) is a unique nonprofit educational organization that cultivates and promotes an energy literate society, by developing and disseminating educational materials, primarily in schools. NEF is nationally recognized by educators, energy professionals, business and government leaders, and regulators as the premier provider of educational resources dealing with energy literacy. As a result, individuals and communities have the knowledge to make informed energy choices.

Acting Executive Director Sheila Hollis issued the following statement upon being invited to join the National Energy Foundation Board of Directors:

“I am delighted and honored to join the other NEF Board members, all of whom are experts in their respective fields. Their diverse educational and professional backgrounds help NEF ensure an unbiased and well-informed strategy to cultivate and promote energy literacy in schools. The NEF mission aligns well with USEA, where we serve as a resource for the entire energy industry. USEA programs extend the NEF mission by advancing the professional development of key energy stakeholders, through the offering of webinars, briefings, workshops, and five annual Flagship Forums.

“Our platform contains no prejudgment or prejudice for the expression of ideas, concerns, and solutions regarding all relevant energy issues. USEA’s mission to inform and promote a nonpolitical dialogue among key decision-makers on a path forward will amplify NEF’s outreach efforts and elevate our shared objective of energy education for all”.
