Biography:
John E. Shelk has been President and CEO of the Electric Power Supply Association, the national trade association representing leading competitive electricity suppliers, since 2005. Mr. Shelk is responsible for EPSA’s overall management and strategic direction, including legislative affairs, regulatory policy and public affairs. He served as a counsel to the House Energy and Commerce Committee after which he has held a series of positions in the private sector with increasing responsibility. He earned a J.D. degree with honors from Georgetown University Law Center and an A.B. degree with honors in American Government, also from Georgetown University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and selected as a George F. Baker Scholar.
