Phil Dion is the Senior Vice President of customer solutions at The Edison Electric Institute (EEI). Dion comes to EEI from American Electric Power, where he held several leadership roles since joining the company in 2015

At AEP, Phil served as vice president of technology business development, vice president of customer policy solutions and insights, vice president and interim chief customer officer, and vice president of federal affairs. Prior to AEP, he was senior vice president of public policy and customer solutions for UNS Energy Corp. and was the chief of staff to former Federal Energy Regulatory Commission commissioner Marc Spitzer. Dion has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arizona and a juris doctorate and master’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University.
