Amanda Battersby for 19 years has been Asia Bureau Chief for Upstream, the global oil and gas publication, after joining the company as a Singapore-based correspondent four years prior.

Amanda in 1992 completed her journalism training in London and joined industry publisher NorOil the same year, initially covering the North Sea market. She then worked for Hart Energy in the UK, where she launched the weekly Asia Petroleum News as managing editor.

Outside of work she enjoys travel, yoga, coastal walking and good - vegetarian - food.
