Biography: 

Bruce Tsuchida is a Principal of The Brattle Group with over thirty years of experience in domestic and international power generation development, utility operation, and power market analysis.

His experience spans a wide range of utility consulting projects, including the analysis of operations for power markets, ranging from integration studies for intermittent resources such as wind and solar power, ancillary service studies, operational logic studies, and analyses required for regulatory proceedings. These studies range from large interconnected systems to small island systems.  Prior to joining Brattle, Mr. Tsuchida was a Principal at Charles River Associates (CRA).  Prior to joining CRA, Mr. Tsuchida was a Project Manager at Tokyo Electric Power Company where he gained a decade of experience in operating, developing, and constructing power in Japan and Southeast Asia.

His hands-on experience allows him to identify gaps between the theoretical studies performed and the real operating world.

Mr. Tsuchida holds two M.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the other in Technology and Policy, and a B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
