Biography: 

Elise Voorhis serves as a Senior Program Coordinator for USEA’s Energy Utility Partnership Program, which strengthens the capacity of utility executives and employees in USAID-assisted countries to effectively manage and operate power systems, run financially viable businesses, and develop sustainable energy resources. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of partnership activities in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States, including training programs, workshops, conferences, and executive exchanges on clean energy and sustainable development.

Elise holds MA in Global Environmental Policy from American University’s School of International Service, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining USEA in December 2016, she worked at the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Trade and Development Agency, White House Council on Environmental Quality, and Lloyd Gosselink Attorneys at Law.
