George Mutetweka
Eng. George Mutetweka is a graduate of renewable energy specializing in hydropower technology. With over 10 years of Mechanical Engineering for hydropower plants within the private sector, he joined the public sector in 2016 to build capacity in power plants operations, maintenance and long-term Capex planning for Government of Uganda’s flagship projects of Karuma HPP (600MW) and Isimba HPP (183MW). He is currently working in the fields of Utility Asset Management and Asset Health at UEGCL, and aims to find innovative solutions for improving the performance of Concession Contracts as one of the effective ways of increasing the efficiency and value for both Government and the Private Sector in managing public owned power plants. He has keen interests in the application of cutting edge new technology for power plant equipment refurbishments and power plant cascade optimization.
