Biography: 

Tyler Hodge is a senior economist in the Office of Energy Analysis at the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) where he is the lead modeler for producing the monthly electricity industry forecasts for the Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO). Dr. Hodge was the primary developer of EIA's short-term production cost model for analyzing of the dispatch patterns of electricity generators and the operation of power markets. In addition to producing the STEO forecast, he provides occasional analysis of current issues for senior administration officials and Congressional information requests. Dr. Hodge joined EIA in 2005 after completing his Ph.D. in energy economics at the Colorado School of Mines. He also has a B.S. and M.A. from the University of Colorado.
