Biography:
Andrew Tong is a Research Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University's (OSU's) Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department. He received his Ph.D. in 2013 from OSU working in Professor Liang-Shih Fan's laboratory. His research on chemical looping technology has covered oxygen carrier material studies, gas-solid flow, and process development. Currently, he serves as the OSU lead in the pressurized syngas chemical looping (SCL) pilot test unit and is engaged all large-scale chemical looping projects under development. He has contributed to more than 18 peer-reviewed research publications and is an inventor on 4 patents.
