David Miller is the Director of Standards Development at the American Petroleum Institute.  In this role he is responsible for overall standards policy and oversight and is a member of API’s Senior Management Staff.  David also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American National Standards Institute.  He has served on several federally-chartered advisory committees and has testified before Congress, federal and state regulators on standards and technology issues.  David is a registered professional engineer and earned a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah and a MS degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas.  He joined API in 1985 and has been elected a Fellow by the American Society of Civil Engineers and serves on their Membership Application Review Committee.
