Biography: 
Emily is the Acting Division Director with the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management within the division of carbon conversion. The Carbon Conversion division focuses on the utilization of carbon dioxide emissions and conversion into value-added products. She manages several initiatives created under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, including the UPGrants program which makes $100 million available for procurement of carbon-added products.  She has prior experience in renewable energy investing and was before joining the DOE was with the Yale Carbon Containment Lab where she focused on deploying methane abatement and carbon storage demonstration projects through the voluntary carbon markets.
