Anthony Bitonti currently serves as Senior Program Coordinator for USEA’s activities in Europe & Eurasia. In this capacity, he assists the Program Manager in implementing activities under Europe and Eurasia’s Energy Industry Partnership Program. He is currently responsible for bilateral activities in Georgia and Azerbaijan and is responsible for the development of fiscal year workplans, budgets, and development and organizing international and domestic activities. Anthony has worked at USEA since 1992, where he was the Program Coordinator for USEA’s Russian Energy Industry Partnership Program bringing together key energy sector executives to address critical issues in the areas of utility management, and regulatory reform.
Anthony has over twenty years’ experience developing and administering international capacity building energy programs with U.S. government agencies including the U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of State and U.S. Trade Development Agency. He has coordinated over 300 orientation visits, reverse trade missions, workshops, briefings, and conferences for over 1,500 senior energy executives both in the U.S. and overseas.
Anthony has significant international experience and has conducted programs in Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Poland, and Turkey.
