Crescent Mushwana is a Chief Engineer in the Grid Planning department of Eskom, as South African Electricity Utility company. His work in Eskom entails strategic planning (20-40 years) of the South African Grid and the associated impacts of such expansions on the SAPP, initiating and leading research activities identified as part of the strategic grid expansion, specialised investigative technical studies for Eskom and the SAPP, and leading the work on renewable energy (RE) with a focus on RE resource assessment, grid impact studies and assessing grid capacity to integrate RE.
