Biography: 

Hitendra comes to Arizona State University after a successful exit from a pioneering reverse logistics start-up in India called GreenDust which he founded where he raised multi-million venture funds from the likes of Kliener Perkins Caufield and Bauer and built a lasting legacy in India.

A computer engineer from IIT Roorkee with an MS and MBA from US, Hitendra started his career in 1995 working as a consultant for Ernst & Young and then for A.T. Kearney. Consulting acted as a catalyst to Hitendra’s first start-up experience in through an Austin Venture funded company. Family reasons dictated a move to Seattle with Microsoft where Hitendra worked in Competitive Strategy, Marketing, and OEM supply chain.

A celebrated author, Hitendra sits on advisory committees of many start-ups and incubators, guest speaks at numerous universities, and has been widely covered in press and media as a subject matter expert on global supply chain strategy, green/sustainability in supply chain, digitizing traditional supply chains, and reverse logistics.

Hitendra believes that his teaching philosophy is molded in a big part by his zest of life and continuous learning which is demonstrated in the fact that he has found time to fly airplanes, make wine, paint, scuba dive, sku dive, ride motorcycles, travel 75 countries…and most importantly, spend quality time with his family.
