Lauren Rosenblatt
Lauren Rosenblatt is a lawyer and entrepreneur with broad and deep experience in electricity service and solar technology. She currently leads two start-ups that she founded in the clean energy sector: Barrio Eléctrico, community-powered residential solar and battery systems, and Uplift Solar Corp., a power electronics firm enabling the growth of building-integrated and portable solar and energy storage. She has successfully raised $6.5 million in impact investment for Barrio Eléctrico, which is currently the fastest-growing alternative energy service provider in Puerto Rico . Lauren has worked for Big Law (NY and DC), Big Government (the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), and Big Energy (Berkshire Hathaway Energy). She also worked in Sierra Leone in 2002-2003 for an NGO that was funded at the end of that country’s civil war to rebuild infrastructure and address some of the ramifications of conflict-related trauma. She has a B.S. in civil engineering, second major in policy studies, from Rice University (Houston, Texas) and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law (Austin, Texas).
