Tom DePonty brings nearly 10 years of government and public affairs experience dealing with energy development and infrastructure issues for the public and private sector.  Currently, Tom manages outreach with the Federal and State governments for AREVA’s renewable energy businesses.  He also positions AREVA’s US policy operations for work in international business development with an emphasis on solar energy.

Tom has supported AREVA’s business operations in the US for the past 6 years.  Most recently he managed all public affairs activities for AREVA’s biomass to energy development joint venture with Duke Energy.  He spent three years with AREVA’s federal government affairs practice focusing on renewable energy, nuclear energy and non-proliferation issues.  Prior to joining AREVA, Tom provided public affairs services to major public sector energy and infrastructure projects in Washington State.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Politics from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and is based in AREVA’s Bethesda, Maryland office.
