This Position Paper provides the EMI members’ collective recommendations for the actions that they, along with regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders should take to make the challenging transition to an integrated electricity market in Southeast Europe. This transition includes rapid and extensive decarbonization of the generation system, massive additions of renewable energy capacity, especially wind and solar, and market coupling across all borders in the region.
